Everything was in chaos as we did not have much time to complete everything.
But till the end, we did complete what we are supposed to do.
just that we didn't render.
So trouble comes when we tried to open the file in Rachael's laptop.
we cant find the specific file we want..
So when ronald say that he doesn't want us to show our storyboard,
we knew that we were dead meat.
No presentation.
ask to go out of the room,
and called the next group.
Great way to present my first core module of MOI.
theGROUP are all feeling kinda sad right now.
its not as if we didn't put in effort..
But, we'll learned from this.
Tomorrow, we just need to submit everything we have gotten and we will be done with STOPP,
a Fun module, yet sad ending.
please no more of this happening before me ever again !

its the second last day!!!

the POSTER.
theGROUP namecard.reached school before 12pm.
I had decided to do promotionals designs for our Kenny Rogers song as i had to wait till Jingyuan and Rae to complete their drawing before i can start working on my animatic part.
So i began to design a namecard for our group, theGROUP.
HAHA!
it was a random name as i got so used to calling our group theGROUP.
(:
i did trail and error with a few different fonts, shadow and also image.
Finally got the namecard done after much commenting from my group mates!
this was good as it means that after those changes, everyone in the group are satisfied with my design (:
Then after, i proceed on to do the CD cover design.
since this piece is a county song, i decided to go for a much simpler design.
just a simple kenny rogers name for the back CD cover and a kenny rogers face together with name again and song title for the front.
But Rae and Ray both thought that if the front cover was the back and the back was the front,
it would look much more complete.
So tada!!!

after that, went to have my little break.

For the poster, i really gotten not much idea on how im supposed to do it.
Consulted beloved jing yuan for ideas.
So she roughly give me an idea and i began to work on it.
the idea: a simple Kenny Rogers's face, with the song title and his name.
So i did all that out with simple fonts and slightly brownish colour to create a country music kinda style.
But, the overall look of the poster was still plain...
So i added in a picture of the county and... IT APPEARS TO LOOK GOOD!
so it comes to the end of my promotional part (:
after that i went off for public speaking presentation and then back to animation lab to do animtics.
But jingyuan and Rae was like drawing and colouring all the panels!!

PRODUCTION DAY
Im slightly late today.. BUT, im still early as only jingyuan was in school by the time i reached school.
We decided to start on our other modules work but a while later, racheal reached the 2Dlab and discussion starts.
we went to look at the different costume of people in the olden days, how does the county hospital and prison look like?
Then after Rae starts to draw out the characters even while we were having our lunch!
After lunch we went back to class and we saw marge's group doing their work too.
They were doing their mood board/ poster and also name cards!!
So i thought of why not our group do the same thing including a cd cover too (:
and we will be doing that tomorrow!
Then at about 2pm , jingyuan left for other group discussion and i, being the person doing premiere, has got nothing much to do.
So i did my CDS work.
left for class at 6 plus while rae and lemon are still in the lab drawing.
Damn cool people~

INTERIM 1
Weekends is over!!
And we are having our first presentation, to show our storyboard to Roanld.
Rachel and jingyuan had completed drawing the storyboard through the weekends and we met up early today so that i can do the powerpoint slides for presenting.
Then at 1+, class starts and we were all pepared to go!
First group up was laurie's group and they have gotten all their grant chart, character design and even budget out!
We were like kinda shocked as we thought it was just to show storyboard and we kinda panic for a while.. but its okay!
Next up, our group! jingyuan and racheal and raymond took turns to present, whereas i control the powerpoint slides and joel is in charge of answering questions.
We told the audience about our morphing idea.. but it seem like no one really understand what we are doing..
And ronald told us that we lag of creativity as we were like directly translating the whole song.
Plus he does not really know how we are going to execute the morphing idea.
Also, we dont have our character design. the environment and also the mood board.
So we decide to go home and think about the costumes, set, mood and everything else and racheal and jingyuan are going to draw the in betweens of the storyboard so that it would seem smooth in the animatics itself.
We are going to meet up at 12 tomorrow to discuss about the project.

Brainstorming!
I forget to update jingyuan bout the meeting up today...
so she was quite angry by the time she reached class.
IM REALLY SORRY T.T
after this incident, thr group have decided that raymond will sms all about any meeting (:
YAY! no more misunderstandings~
The group started out by brainstorming all ideas.
We decided not to do the man in the foreground idea as it was too common and we dont know whether or not to have a man on donkey or with guitar..HAHA!
So.. off it goes~~
Our next idea was to follow the lyrics to make out the whole story of the song.
And the scenes in the music video will warp into one another through some objects like for example tears, words and some other things.
It's hard to explain here...
so wait till Mon presentation people (:
In only 2 hours, we had finish brain storming the whole music video.
So whats left was to draw out and prepare for presentation on monday (:
We gave roles to all of the members!
Storyboard artist: Jingyuan and Racheal.
Making of animatic: Me and Raymond.
Presentator: Joel.
Hope that Monday will pass smoothly and everyone will not get so stress :/

Back to blogging ~
HELLO TO EVERYONE!!
this blog is for story boarding and project pitching.
We have come to the final assignment whereby we need to create an animatics, which is a video with all the panels of the storyboard joined together using premiere or whatever softwares with the correct timing, tranistion, mood and camera angles.
So first of all before we began anything,
we were asked to spilt in groups.
Im grouped with Raymond, Racheal, Jingyuan, Joel and Me of course!
Then after Ronald showed us a couple of good animatics so that we can get an idea what exactly is it.
The second animatic he showed was JOUST.
It was fabulous!!!
The flow of the animatics was so smooth that when we view it, it seems like we are watching the real video!
Finally to the project brief...
since our group has got 5 members,
we were asked to do a music video animatic for the song 'Coward of the County' by Kenny Roger.
Then on Mon, we were supposed to present our storyboard.
And on Thurs, it would be the final presentation (:
But the Thur presentation would be slightly different from normal presentation.
Cause we might be like walking and presenting at the same time :/
And we need to SELL our idea instead of just presenting.
so well.. better be fully prepared!
After lesson, we stayed behind to listen to the song together and view some videos hoping to get some inspiration.
example of videos were : wu bai's flower song, mika's lollipop, a rip slyme's music video and many more..
We got this idea of a man walking with the beat of the song at the foreground of the video.
in a funny way(:
We decide to think of all scenes tomorrow even though there's no class(:
so shall update tomorrow~
